From the moment my mother placed a guitar in my hands at the age of six, I knew that music was my calling. She taught me how to play Beatles songs on her 1961 Harmony 335-style guitar, and I fell in love with the feeling of creating something beautiful with just my fingers and a set of strings.

As I grew older, I became more and more fascinated with the guitar, and I began to explore different styles and techniques. My grandfather introduced me to the work of Chet Atkins, and I taught myself Travis-style fingerpicking, a technique that would become a staple of my playing. I also drew inspiration from guitar greats like Eddie Van Halen, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, and I began to develop my own unique style.

Throughout high school, I played in rock and blues bands with musicians who were often three times my age. It was a challenging and rewarding experience that taught me the value of hard work and dedication.

When it came time for college, I initially enrolled as a pre-law major. However, music was never far from my mind, and I found myself playing in university bands and performing at local clubs. Dave Parmen, the Director of Music and former John Mellencamp guitarist, heard me play and convinced me to take some music classes. It was the push I needed to pursue my true passion, and I switched my major to music.

During my time at Ball State University, I studied classical guitar performance and psychology, and I added piano, banjo, mandolin, and steel guitar to my repertoire. I also took music technology and composition courses, eager to learn everything I could about the craft.

After graduation, I moved to Indianapolis and began to build my career in music. I taught guitar, composition, and music technology during the day, and performed at night in restaurants and private engagements. I also composed music for video games with the European music house, DeffMute, and juggled an internship as an Audio Engineer at a high-profile studio in the city.

In 2005, I received an opportunity to manage the audio department at a studio in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. It was a chance to expand my horizons and learn new skills, and I seized it eagerly. While there, I worked on projects ranging from radio and TV commercials to documentary films, honing my mixing, composing, and engineering skills along the way.

After my time in Iowa, I went to work for American Visions Group, where I composed music, designed sound, edited, and mixed for documentary films. It was a demanding but rewarding job that allowed me to grow as an artist and collaborate with talented filmmakers.

In 2011, I made the move to Nashville, eager to immerse myself in the heart of the Music City. Since then, I have performed with bands on Broadway, produced and engineered albums and singles, and collaborated with fellow artists. Additionally, I work in technology, bringing my passion for innovation, the human condition and creativity to the realm of Behavioral Health-Tech.

Beyond my love for music, I am an aspiring chef, a yoga fanatic, and a fast car enthusiast. I believe that life is about exploring new passions and pushing the boundaries of what we think is possible. My hope is to continue to do just that, inspiring others with my music and pursuing my own creative journey.
